
Telent is a leading ICT specialist in the design, build, support and management of the UK’s critical digital infrastructure. Telent employs approximately 3,000 staff across a wide variety of engineering and project management disciplines with plans to grow by around 20% in the next three years.Orion were engaged by the new Group HRD as part of a transformation programme to streamline and modernise the HR function and ensure future growth and service level demands would be met.As part of this exercise, we developed a comprehensive HRIS strategy for the transformed HR function that included:
- A strategic roadmap for the development of critical operational and talent systems within Telent based on the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- A due diligence process to evaluate and select the most appropriate technology solution for HR.
- Redesign of core HR processes and operational structures to optimise the investment in new technology.
- A business case to set out the commercial case for change.
Following the selection and acquisition of the Oracle HR, Talent, Workforce Management and Helpdesk solutions, Orion have been retained by Telent to undertake programme management, service design and quality assurance to the project. The project is currently on time and budget and is due to go live in two phases in 2023.
